My New Year's look

It's chocolate brown up the top and blond down the bottom! (I'm talking about my hair)

Happy New Year: Bonne Année 2010!

This year, in the tradition of the French, I am going to make a wish or two {a voeu} instead of the usual stringent resolutions I have made...and often broken...in years past. Doesn't it just seem more romantic and less puritan to send a wish out into the universe, rather than setting yourself up for punishment when you fail? Author Debra Ollivier says:
"...a wish is a mutable thing that can be blown away by the wind. A wish is like a cloud that might drift your way but cannot be forced to do so. It is langurous and fanciful and who knows where it will end up. A resolution, on the other hand, is a firm, concise obligation. It's a contract between you and your conscious that is deep-fried in moral values. A resolution has edges and they will menace you forever if you don't pay attention to them. A resolution, in short, can become one of those deadly virtues if it conspires too radically against the Gods of Pleasure."

This year, despite loads of work and obligations, I wish for the "Gods of Pleasure" to stay front and center in my life...good food, good drink, good books, good love, good adventures, good growth, good living.

** Happy New Year, Mes Amies!!! May pleasure visit you often this year...

Best Moment Of 2009: President Barack Obama's Inauguration

On January 20th, 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as the first African-American President of the United States of America. Our 44th President made history. Millions of people brave chilly Washington D.C. and millions more watch all over the world to be apart of this amazing historical event.

It was a magical weekend first kicked off with the concert with Beyonce, Mary J. Blige and many other all-stars honoring the president. They actually attended over 10 official Balls. Michelle Obama wore a gorgeous white one-shouldered applique Jason Wu dress.

I just thank God for allowing me to witness this once in a lifetime event. I cried for joy until I couldn't cry anymore.

I wish everyone a bless and safe New Year and I would like to thank all of my fabulous readers for their support. Remember to love fashion but never take it too seriously!

See you guys next year for all the stunning gowns on the red carpet and of course the foolishness on the red carpet!
Another year, gone.
And I begin to ponder the year that was.
From break-ups, to break-downs. To love found, and love muddled. Friendships blossomed and alight forever, and some lost forever. Jobs loved and lost. Thats for sure.
But for next year I am being told by every starsign I read that it will be my year for finance and career. I've never read that before, honestly.
So lets step ahead into the unknown. And have FUN!
Where is my lost love.
Hiding in the dark..
Xo

The end is nigh...

Of the year that is...

First Lady Michelle Obama is known for her impeccable style. Michelle looked amazing all year. Her favorite designer was definitely Parisian designer Azzedine Alaia which Naomi Campbell is his muse for many years.

She is confident and she knows what works for her. The First Lady has been criticize for showing her tone arms but if I had arms like hers, I would wear tank tops everyday!

Michelle O. is not stuffy nor boring. I remembered when I had my boutique upstairs from Van Cleef Hair Salon in 2003 where Michelle Obama got her hair done by her stylist for many years named Rahni Flowers that she would always try on unique and sexy pieces like Comme de Garcon and Barbara Bates(a local Chicago designer).

Not since Jackie Kennedy Onassis have I been intrigued by a First Lady stunning wardrobe.
